App Guide Settings in FR

Settings

1. Tap Settings on Reader Screen -> Enter the Pin
2. Register this device ID on VMS portal [add device]
3. Access the Section of Users, to check the list of registered Users
4. General Section, maintain basic FR operation
   1. Set building code, (e.g., 9 as Tera)
   2. Message Duration, adjust on how long pop-up appears
   3. Device Mode
      1. Reader used for Access Entry
      2. Attendance
      3. Lift
5. Connection Section, ]t
   1. Used fobntr extracting the template from VMS registration (Optional)
   2. MQTT client
      1. Used for connection to Broker
      2. User data synchronization of employees and visitors of VMS
6. Face Engine Section, maintain
   1. License Manager
      1. Contact us to receive an activation license.
      2. Activation requires the internet.
   2. Face Detection Threshold
      1. Recommended set to 70%
      2. Higher values make detection stricter to capture only the proper face and takes time longer.
      3. Lower values make detection easier, faster, and more sensitive.
   3. Min Face Width Ratio
      1. Recommend setting at 15%, which is valid around 100cm.
      2. Controls how far face recognition works effectively
      3. Lower will increase the range detection, but verification will take longer
   4. Precision Level
      1. Recommend setting at 10^6.
      2. Adjust this value to determine the FAR rate.
   5. Liveness
      1. Recommended: Turn ON
      2. Prevents fake faces from being accepted
      3. Ensure only real, live faces are recognized.
7. Output Section, adjust the output of user authorization
   1. Wiegand
      1. Supported Format: 26, 34, and Special (custom Wiegand up to 64 bits)
   2. Relay
      1. Relay Duration controls how long the signal

         

As Reader

1. Function: Controls and manages entry and exit through doors or turnstiles
2. Access Verification: Authenticates users using face recognition or card credentials
3. Operation: Grants or denies access based on verification results
4. Output Control: Trigger the configured output signal (Wiegand or relay) upon successful authentication.
5. Configuration: Output behavior can be customized according to defined access control settings.

   

As Lift

• Function: Manages elevator access by verifying user credentials before enabling floor selection or initiating a lift call.
• Access Verification: Authenticates users through face recognition or card-based credentials.
• Operation: After successful authentication, the system triggers a lift call request based on the user’s access rights or designated destination floor.
• Output Control: Transmits lift call commands via API to the connected third-party lift control system.
• Configuration: Defines API parameters used to identify and trigger the appropriate lift terminal.

  

As Attendance

1. Function: Records employee attendance by capturing first check-in and first check-out events through identity verification.
2. Access Verification: Identifies users via face recognition before logging attendance.
3. Operation:
   1. The system automatically records the first check-in when the user is verified for the first time within the day.
   2. The first check-out is recorded upon the user’s next verification event within the defined working period.
4. Output Control: Sends verified attendance records to the connected to VMS system.
